private lessons

drawing-perspective

We offer drawing lessons in the classical manner, teaching the beginning artist that there is truly a skill to seeing the world, and in moving that vision from eye to paper. With small classes — maximum three students — each individual receives focused instruction using time-honored methods. Fees for semi-private lessons are $15.00 per hour per student; private lessons are $20.00 per hour.

In Drawing 02, the artist begins drawing more complex objects and completes some landscapes and head/hand studies. Color is introduced through color pencils or pastels. These media form a bridge between drawing and painting. Weather and time permitting, we will spend at least one session outside for some plein air practice. Sessions are one-to-two hours per week. Suggested six-to-eight weeks. Basic materials provided.
